Good morning!

This year has been a trip so far! Who wants a redo? In the traditional sense that may be a challenge. That said whether everything seems like it’s falling into place, it’s seems bleak or you just feel like you’re just repeating the same path on the hamster wheel there is hope!

How?

Getting the beast that personal finances can be tamed. One place to start could be a budget.

“Budget? No! I can’t have all the things I want if I do that!”

Okay, I get it you like stuff. I like stuff too. What about all the dreams you want to come true? I’m not saying you have to quit having all the nice things you like or be restricted to having not fun.

You can choose to feel the freedom of knowing where your money has gone, is going and will go by using (use) your budget as a map to locate your goals and find the route to achieve them.

“That’s interesting but I can’t stick with it long enough.”

Yes, it can be tough to have patience to get there. That’s one reason it’s good to have a coach in your corner. I’m going to celebrate with you in your successes and help you to determine the best pats in areas that you feel are an annoying struggle.

Also, those areas you think you fail in? You don’t unless you quit. Maybe your goal right now is just to get to the next paycheck. I get it. I lost track of the number of weeks where I just wanted that next check to clear already. 40 hours can feel like 40 days. I remember watching the clock begging time to pass faster. It didn’t. I remember the hopelessness of doing the same things without any improvement. It felt like I always moving but still being stuck in place.

I lacked purpose, and intent. It was like a ship without a rudder until l got my money in order and learned. I’d pick a course and it might or might not happen because I didn’t have a guide.   I doubted and was skeptical. It was a painful struggle to choose to form new habits and I was alone. It slowed me down and took more time. Whether progress was being made or setbacks happened, I wished for someone to talk with to bounce ideas off of and help me stay on track. You will not be alone. We will work together to lay out options, find new paths as you grab the wheel to steer the ship of your finances on your dawn of a journey to your goals and dreams.

You are the captain of your ship. Imagine that you are the helm. You’re in control of the wheel. Where’re you headed? How do you want to get there? Why are you going there? Seas can get rough out there as life happens. So many different things want our attention and our money. Like swells crashing against the hull of your ship trying to flood your ship. You have two choices: you can abandon the helm and hunker down or you can make adjustments to your course before the waves.

Bills.

Unexpected emergencies.

Charities

These are just a few of the waves that want to sink your ship. Suddenly the sky goes dark as storm clouds roll in. The rain comes down lightly, at first. The wind begins to pick up and the rain is heavier. The rain is pounding down now. Heavy and cold. You see lightning and hear thunder in the distance.  Meanwhile you’re at the wheel. Without a rudder your ship will go where the waves dictate when they crash. Now imagine being at the helm but you know there’s a rudder. The waves come crashing and pounding relentlessly against the hull. Spray hits you in the face. You’ve got this because your ship is in working order and you have a rudder to help ensure that the ship heads in the direction you’re aiming. The direction helps to inform the path and obstacles along it. There is not a one size fits all path to achieving your goals and dreams. The path has to fit you and the people you choose to bring along.

While traveling in your direction it can get stressful. When it gets to be too much, it can be helpful to have someone who cares, who wants you to succeed, who can navigate the course you’re steering with you. Coaching works from a big picture outlook to see where you’ve been, where you are and what’s up ahead and also from a zoomed in perspective to finding a path for success in each situation with a direction and purposes in mind to reach the destination of the journey.

That is what the accountability of coaching can look like. Accountability is a positive. The focus is on the present and moving into the future. It does not ignore the past but seeks to understand it to improve current and future choices.

Imagine going from a storm of negative possibilities watching the waves crash and batter your ship. Are you ready to go from a lack of direction and just getting by but not getting to your destination to getting the ship where you dreamed of going. Do those swells you navigated look a whole lot better softly lapping against the sand of the shore with the sun glistening off the water?

Let’s book a Free Call to talk about the dawn of your journey!
